The 2018 Camp Fire devastated the Town of Paradise, California, destroying nearly 19,000 structures and altering the landscape forever. In the aftermath, rebuilding efforts required a fresh start — and that meant re-establishing the property boundaries for every parcel in town.
From day one after the fire, our team was on the ground in Paradise. We were proud to be part of the earliest wave of professionals aiding in the recovery. In fact, I was the first land surveyor to set a new property corner and file a Record of Survey post-fire. Since then, we've continued to support the rebuild with unwavering dedication — and today, we have the most Records of Survey on file in Paradise.
The fire not only destroyed homes, but also erased many of the visible markers used to determine property lines. To rebuild legally in Paradise, every property required a boundary survey. Our surveys helped ensure accurate setbacks, avoided encroachments, and protected property rights for returning homeowners.
If you're planning a rebuild or just need a boundary survey in Paradise, here’s a helpful tip — you can use the Rebuild Paradise Foundation’s Mapping Tool to see which surveyors have already worked near your parcel.
Parcels with post-fire surveys will appear magenta. Click on one to see which surveyor completed it. A surveyor familiar with your area can typically provide a more competitive estimate.
